ABOUT US
Sensory Check is a nonprofit that brings people of all ages with sensory processing differences into the world of live music in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring way. We collaborate with bands and venues to offer exclusive access to soundchecks—unique behind-the-scenes experiences that are adapted for sensory comfort. These events take place in iconic music venues, carefully curated to reduce sensory overload and offered entirely free to families.
During our events our guest will get to experience live performances without the huge crowds and overstimulating environments. Everyone deserves live music in their lives in a way that is comfortable to receive it. We CAN NOT WAIT to share this amazing opportunity with everyone.
OUR STORY
My name is Ashley Brahl. I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and advocate for the neurodivergent community. Our family of five is made up of myself, husband Alex, son Otis 11, daughter Etta 10, and son Amos who is 7. Not to leave out our 7 furry and not so furry family members. Amos is the inspiration. He is severely autistic, non verbal and has bilateral hearing loss.
Sensory Check came to life with the vision of merging two huge aspects of our life and creating a safe space for Amos and his community.
Alex is one of the owners of a music management company based in Denver called 7S Management.
GET INVOLVED
Through his involvement in the music industry we have been able to build relationships with music venues and musicians all over the world. Our goal is to bring music and other live events to the neurodivergent community through acceptance and understanding.
