Welcome to the
Teruis "Juvenile" Gray Foundation!
The Teruis "Juvenile" Gray Foundation was created by Juvie The Great after years and years of watching money pour in and out to other foundations yet not seeing the positive effects in his community both in his hometown and in rest of the country. The causes that this foundation benefits are close to Juvies heart and you can trust that the impact will be forever felt.
Teruis "Juvenile" Gray was born on March 26, 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up in both the 10th Ward and the 3rd Ward Magnolia Housing Project, he comes from a close-knit family that includes his late mother, Gloaine Gray, his wife, Sherdonna Gray, his daughters, Shermetrius Gray and Kayliyah Williams, and his sons, Demetrius Gray and Teruis Gray Jr.
A child prodigy, Juvenile displayed his talent for writing and began his professional career during his early teenage years earning him the moniker "Juvenile," and swiftly gained recognition for crafting records that formed the foundation of Bounce Music. In 1995, he made his debut with the album "Being Myself," marking the beginning of a prolific journey. Throughout his career, Juvenile has released a total of 12 albums, including three RIAA certified platinum albums, including the masterpiece "400 Degreez," now certified 4x platinum, which remains Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop album by a black solo rap artist in history. Juvenile also recently recorded what has been hailed as the greatest Tiny Desk concert ever made.
Juvenile is widely recognized as the trailblazer who brought Southern rap to national airwaves with his groundbreaking track, "Ha." Additionally, his timeless hit, "Back That Azz Up," has transcended borders, spreading the vibrant music and culture of New Orleans across the globe. For the past 25 years, this iconic song has been an anthem at countless celebrations, earning hundreds of millions of downloads and streams to date and he now frequently performs it with his all star live band. Juvie is currently on the 25th Anniversary Tour for Backline That Azz Up with his band and Mannie Fresh JuvenileOfficial.com/tour for dates.
